Elections: Nominations for positions on the Landcare Victoria Board closed on 10 April. An extraordinary vacancy remains in the Mallee - please refer to this note for more information.

Special resolution: A special resolution will be proposed to Landcare Victoria members at the AGM. Following a comprehensive review of Landare Victoria Inc’s Rules of Association and a member consultation process, the Board is proposing a new Constitution be adopted. Only the nominated Voting Delegate of each financial Landcare Victoria Member Group present at the meeting, or their nominated proxy, may vote on special resolutions.

Landcare Professionals Forum - Thriving in Change

Held on Wednesday, 8 May at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre.

The 2024 Landcare Professionals Forum (Wednesday, 8 May) provided an opportunity for those working in landcare to come together, gain insights from experts and exchange knowledge with peers. Topics covered included: Getting carbon ready, delivering “big picture” projects and mental health, burnout and professional relationships.


Victorian Landcare Forum - Growing Landcare

Held on Thursday, 9 May and Friday, 10 May at the Bendigo Exhibition Centre.

The 2024 Victorian Landcare Forum provided an engagement opportunity for the landcare community to promote best practice and share stories, to grow landcare across the state.


Webinar - Landcare Group tax exemption changes (with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission)

Held on Thursday, 2 May on Zoom. 

Did you know that the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has recently changed the requirements for not-for-profits that self-assess as income tax exempt? Until now, not-for-profit organisations that self-assess have not been required to report annually to the ATO. Join us for an enlightening session to understand if these changes apply to your organisation and the potential impacts and next steps that should be taken.

Webinar - Landcare Victoria Rules Review Information Session

Following a comprehensive review of the Rules and member consultations earlier in 2023, the Landcare Victoria Board is proposing changes to the Rules to ensure that Landcare Victoria has clear, fit-for-purpose rules now and into the future. In this webinar, we run through some of the proposed Rule changes, the consultation process and the impacts these changes may have on our organisation and, importantly, on our member groups.

Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme - information for environmental organisations

At this webinar, participants heard from CDS Vic about what the Container Deposit Scheme is, and what it means for our environment. It also covered how your group or oganisation can get involved in the scheme as a donation partner and the ways that you can use the scheme to fundraise.
